Teachers provide three extensive written reports describing the child`s progress in all areas of the curriculum. Also, parent-teacher conferences with each family take place three times in the year. Teachers send monthly newsletters and calendars describing classroom learning and upcoming opportunities. We recognize that informal day-to-day communication is essential, particularly at this age. Personal contact is important and parents may call or email the teacher. In addition, a student diary for each child is an important medium for daily communication between parents and teachers.

Indus believes in a strong partnership with parents to support the child`s learning. Parents are encouraged to come in as guest speakers and bring their professional expertise and personal experiences into the classroom, chaperone children on fieldtrips, and assist with the reading programme and events throughout the year.
